Yan Faucher, 13 ans, est un ado comme un autre. Il se rend alors compte que non seulement il continue à penser, mais il arrive également à bouger. Grâce au clairon que son petit frère a glissé dans son cercueil, il arrive à attirer l'attention de son copain Nico qui décide de l'exhumer.
Arrêté par la police, Nico n'a pas le temps de libérer son ami, mais Yan parvient à sortir de son tombeau. Avec l'aide de Nico et Alice, il va mener une double quête : retrouver son assassin et reconstruire sa famille en pleine décomposition depuis son décès.
